On October 26, 2008, the Holy Name of Jesus Institute was established at a special ceremonial signing in the library of the Holy Name of Jesus House of Studies.
On this occasion Dr. Francesco C. Cesareo, President of Assumption University, and the Most Reverend Robert J. McManus, Bishop of the Diocese of Worcester, signed an accord which would enable men with a serious interest in the Diocesan priesthood to receive their Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Assumption University at a reduced cost, while residing at the Holy Name of Jesus House of Studies.
This extraordinary gift to the Diocese of Worcester, and its future priests, is a testament to Assumption University's commitment to supporting vocations to the priesthood.
